Count On Us Maths Challenge
Rush Green Primary School has been successful in our bid to enter the London Mayor's 'Count On Us!' Maths Challenge. On May 1st we took a team of young mathematicians from Years 4 and 5 to the City Hall to compete in a range of problem solving activities against schools from across the London.
On Friday 27th March, almost 70 children from Years 4 and 5 were invited to take part in our own 'Count On Us!' challenge. The children thoroughly enjoyed it as the video to the right shows! There was a fantastic buzz, especially during the '24' round,w here the children had to use the four digits to make a total of 24, using any of the four operations.
Well done to all of the children who took part. In the end it was very difficult to select just 3 pupils, but the following children were selected to represent our school in May:
Izzie (class 4W)
Theo (class 5CL)
Angel (class 5J)
